“E” Day

The GIRLS locker room will be closed this week. Girls should lock up all their belongings in their school locker before going to PE classes.

The CCSR is hosting a supply drive for the local animal rescue Kitty Connection! Drop off donations like paper towels, bleach, printer paper, laundry and dishwasher detergent, and apple cider vinegar in room C201 all this week!

Are you interested in becoming a lifeguard? A course is being offered at the Medford High School pool, with the American Red Cross, 2/17 through 2/21 from 10-5. See Ms. Perry to sign up and for more information.

Students – If you are interested in playing a spring sport, please register online and bring an updated physical to the nurse’s office as soon as possible. You must register and be cleared by the nurse in order to try out for a spring sport. See Ms. Perry with any questions.

All boys and girls Winter Track Athletes should return your uniforms to Coach Donlon’s classroom after school.

The Diversity Empowerment Movement is looking for students to read original works, or read a poet who shares their heritage for an open mic on Tuesday, February 25th in celebration of Diversity Week. Sign up with Mr. Geehan in C209 by TOMORROW.

MHS is in need of any student interested in sanding, painting, etc. to please join us on Sunday, February 23rd at the Medford High School Lobby at 8 am! You will receive community service hours for your hard work!

Students: if you want to wear pajamas to school TOMORROW you must drop off your pajama donation to Mr. Skorker’s room, C201, in the morning to have your hand stamped. Please help support this CCSR project.

Reminder that the Tufts Philosophy Workshop is meeting TODAY after school in C111. Anyone still interested in joining should see Mr. Esner.

Sign-ups for the CCSR Spikeball Tournament are in Mr. Skorker’s room, C201. It’s $5 for a team of two. It will be at 2:45pm on February 26th in the Gym.

The Math Team is looking for students interested in participating in a competition at Tufts University in March. We would like students from different grade levels and classes, so if any students who are interested in going, please see Mr. Bartolanzo in room C313 for more information.

Film Club will meet in the Library Viewing Room right after school. New members are always welcome. The first to arrive will get to choose TODAY’s movie so don’t delay.

What are you doing for Valentine’s Day? How about taking a chance on love – with a book? Come and check out the library’s Blind Date display of highly recommended books all wrapped up like a gift and ready for you to try out just by reading its profile. And while you’re here, also look at the Coretta Scott King display in honor of Black History Month and the many new releases we just put on the shelves. With vacation week coming you’ll need a good book! Ask us for recommendations.
