Medford to Revise Residential Parking Permit Program
The City of Medford is working to address the concerns and needs of residents in neighborhoods with high parking demand. As part of this effort, the City will be revising the residential on-street parking permit program.
Medford wants your input.
The City’s Traffic Commission will hold three public workshops in order to develop a suitable program that benefits the residents and businesses of Medford. The first workshop to discuss options for program improvement will be held on February 16, 2017, in Council Chambers at Medford City Hall from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. All residents are encouraged to attend this interactive session where best practices and similar programs in surrounding communities will be discussed while receiving direct input from residents about specific concerns on Medford’s streets. All potential options are on the table. The City’s goal is to be as practical, actionable, and cost effective as possible, while taking into account the needs of all of the diverse members of our community.
A second workshop with residents in the most impacted neighborhoods will be held in South Medford, and a final workshop to discuss a final proposed program for future adoption by the Traffic Commission will be scheduled at City Hall in the Spring.
