Source: The MPS Advantage Blog

On Saturday/April 28th from 10 AM – 2 PM, at Medford City Hall, the Medford Police Department and the City of Medford’s Board of Health will be sponsoring a National Drug Take Back Initiative. The National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day aims to provide a safe, convenient, and responsible means of disposing of prescription drugs, while also educating the general public about the potential for abuse of medications.

Residents will be able to turn in any unused or expired medication for safe disposal. This includes any pills, tablets, capsules, cough medicines, and any other medications. This service is free and anonymous for residents.  Needles/syringes, medical devices (IV bags, home infusion items), thermometers, and medical instruments will NOT be accepted.

The event is for residential drop offs ONLY and not for doctors’ or veterinarians’ offices.
