Wow, what a rockin’ event MARV had last week! At the end of August we  visited The Mystic Valley Regional Charter School in Malden and ran three—count ‘em, THREE—activities at the same time for kids in grades K-8:

  • For the youngest students: What a Hoot!: Sun catchers of owls made with yarn and twigs
  • For slightly older students: Day at the Beach: Making “sand” from salt and colored chalk, and then using that to make sand paintings in small clear jars
  • For the oldest kids and a few high school and parent volunteers: “The Enchanted Forest”: Tree sculptures from wire, beads, and stones.
