Yesterday, Tufts University President Anthony Monaco handed out Tufts Neighborhood Service Fund Grants to (36) non-profit organizations from Medford, Somerville, Boston and Grafton at the Tufts Neighborhood Service Fund Reception. Medford Public School based groups who received grants included: the Medford Family Network, and the Columbus and Roberts Elementary Schools. In addition, grants were also awarded to the Boys & Girls Club of Medford, CACHE, the Medford Community Coalition, the Medford Historical Society, Sanctuary UCC, and the West Medford Community Center.
The Tufts Neighborhood Service Fund (TNSF) is a giving option for members of the Tufts community during the Tufts Community Appeal (TCA). The fund, which started in November 1995, is used to support our host communities and the important work being done by Tufts volunteers with community organizations in Medford, Somerville, Grafton, and the Boston neighborhoods of Chinatown, Mission Hill & the Fenway.
