Update from the Principal

Dear McGlynn Middle School community,

We have a busy week in store for our school community!

Tomorrow, Tuesday, September 17th you are welcome to attend our first PTO meeting of the school year. The meeting will take place at 5 PM in the main office conference room.

This Wednesday, September 18th, during the period 3 WIN block, the McGlynn Middle School will be having our Club and Activities Fair that will be held in the Gymnasium. This will be a time for each of the students to cycle through the gym and sign up for some of the clubs and activities that they might be interested in pursuing this school year.

We hope that students consider signing up at the fair to join some clubs to pursue their interests and passions, have fun, and interact with their friends and teachers.

The Andrews Middle School will also hold their Club and Activities Fair on the same date. On Wednesday afternoon, we will invite the Andrews Middle School students to our school to see the array of clubs and activities that we offer. McGlynn Middle School students are invited to the Andrews Middle School to view their offerings from 2:20-3:00. After the fairs, late buses will transport students home. Please encourage your children to sign up to be a part of one of our excellent clubs.

On Thursday evening, September 19th, I would like to welcome you, the parents and guardians of the McGlynn Middle School, to our Meet the Teachers and Curriculum Night. The event on Thursday evening will take place from 6-8 PM at the McGlynn Middle School. Please come and meet your children’s teachers, follow their schedule, and learn about the exciting plans that the teachers have for their classes for the school year.

And finally, on Friday, September 20th, I would like to welcome our students and families to an Ice Cream and Slush Social event hosted by the PTO. The event will take place at 6 PM this Friday in the school’s cafeteria.
