Dear McGlynn Families:
Welcome Back to School Year 2019-2020. This year promises to be a wonderful school year full of many new learning experiences, school activities and special events. Together, teachers, students and parents/guardians make a strong McGlynn family. We appreciate your support as your child enters the classroom, learns, and grows during the next school year. We are committed and prepared for a year of successes.
Throughout the year, I look forward to meeting new members of our school community and connecting with those returning. I encourage families to get to know each other by being active in the PTG (Parent Teacher Group)to build new friendships and support each other as need arises.
A few things to help the year go more smoothly—-first, please adhere to traffic protocol and be sure to park legally. Secondly, check out the McGlynn websites consistently so you are aware of new and important information and finally, please keep student absences, tardies and dismissals at a minimum and remember that school begins at 8:30 AM with a dismissal time of 2:35 PM on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. Wednesdays are a 1:30 PM dismissal time. Students will be ready to learn and be successful. We will also continue our Mustang Pride Initiative this year. Medford pride instills in students the importance of kindness and respect throughout the McGlynn Community. Our CARES values are modeled and observed throughout the school day. The McGlynn staff promotes cooperation, accountability, respect, empathy and safety for all .
We are ready to begin another exciting year! Teachers have put in a lot of time and energy getting ready and I am impressed with the staff’s dedication and commitment. The staff and administration of the McGlynn Elementary will work diligently to ensure that your child has a rewarding, safe, and fun learning experience. Wishing everyone a happy and healthy 2018-19 school year.
