Zonta International’s programs provide education, health, sanitation, and other essential services for women worldwide. The overarching goals of the organization are to protect women from violence, educate them about their rights, empower them to realize their full potential, and to achieve equal opportunity for women worldwide.
In celebration of Zonta’s 100thanniversary Howe Creative Gallery is presenting “Women Rising”. The exhibit is curated by Mike Oliver and features visual art by 12 local artists, all sharing the common theme of women’s empowerment. The exhibit is dedicated to the memory of local author, artist, and civil rights advocate Dorothy Emerson.
Honor the inspirational and empowering women in your life by submitting their name(s) for inclusion in the “Portrait of Empowerment” collage currently under construction in the gallery. Photographs are optional, but appreciated. The gallery will be hosting other women’s empowerment events throughout the month of July.
The exhibit is on display now through July 31stat Howe Creative Gallery, located at 392 Main street in Medford. Details are available at www.Howecreative.net or by contacting Chris Howe at Chris@Howecreative.net.
